Westgate Christian School

Students in this class will grow from a Reader’s Theater curriculum into a full – blown technique focused drama group.  Kindergarten through second grade will build upon their reading skills as they learn to express themselves in a theatrical setting.  Third through fifth grades will focus on technique, staging, sets, public speaking, and many more avenues of the dramatic arts. 

Mrs. Susan Brolund

Westgate Christian School is very excited to announce the addition of the acclaimed Mrs. Susan Brolund to the Creative Arts teaching

staff.  Mrs. Brolund’s talent is known throughout the Wiregrass for her countless productions with the Southeast Alabama Community Theatre, The Understudy Dinner Theatre, Dothan High School, Westgate Church of Christ, and Providence Christian School.  Mrs. Brolund has directed several performances, including “Blast from the Past” and “A Bite Out of the Apple” with Dothan High School in 2008.  Mrs. Brolund produced “To Kill a Mockingbird” and “The Music Man” for the Southeast Alabama Community Theatre and she produced “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Pirates of Penzance” for Providence Christian School.  Mrs. Brolund’s accomplishments in acting, directing, producing, stage managing, and set design are too numerous to give adequate credit.  She is currently teaching theatre at the Cultural Art Center, Ridgecrest Baptist Church Home School Co-op, and Westgate Christian School.  Thank you Mrs. Brolund for giving to us your time and talent!
